The ability for a person to access their environment is paramount to their daily functioning. Whether it is a home, workplace or school we can assess the environment and determine what if any barriers exist to the client’s ability to access and therefore function in the environment.

Milestone Therapy Services has a dedicated team headed by an Occupational Therapist with research and practical experience in the field of accessibility.

Our assessments begin with an occupational therapist completing a thorough review of the client’s file and having conversations with the treating team to understand the barriers to the client’s function. Then a full site assessment will be completed by the Occupational Therapist along with a contractor to determine what if any modifications need to be made to the environment and at what cost. Lastly if the modifications to the existing home are not practical a review of the current homes on the market, which may suit the client’s needs, will be completed by a licensed Realtor.
